<p>I own a semi in Richmond Hill. Desk job in North York, wife, one kid in grade three, and a garage that's half storage. We moved up from Brampton about five years ago.</p>
<p>This whole blog exists because of one broken garage door. Car trapped inside, kid late for school, and me standing in the cold with no idea who to call or what any of it should cost. Started taking notes so I'd never be that clueless again.</p>
<p>Now it's a running log of everything that fails around here — springs and cables, opener boards, misaligned sensors, cracked panels, and everything winter does to a door that lives outside.</p>
<p>Two things I'm not: I'm not a technician and I'm not selling anything. No DIY spring guides. That's a licensed-tech job and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. It's all first-hand, all local, all one house.</p>
