Jeffrey Reisman has been practicing criminal law since 2001, spending his first three years as a prosecutor before dedicating his career to the defence side. He has courtroom experience on both sides of the border, including the American Federal Courts in the Middle District of Florida and Florida Circuit County Courts, numerous Quebec courts, and regular appearances in the Provincial Court of Ontario and Superior Court of Ontario. He has defended thousands of clients in cases spanning complex frauds, attempted murder, sexual assault, and possession for the purpose of trafficking to matters such as domestic assault, impaired driving/over .80, simple assault, and assault with a weapon. Rather than practicing in many areas of law, Jeffrey focuses exclusively on criminal defence in Toronto, keeping current with changing legislation so his clients benefit from every available defence. He understands the stress and anxiety a charge brings both clients and the people around them, and works to lessen it by walking clients through the process. Away from his practice, he pursues extreme sports including kitesurfing, snowboarding, skiing, and mountain biking.
